Board Oil No. 1 | Premium Food-Safe Cutting Board Oil
Board Oil No. 1
Protect your cutting board, restore its natural color, and keep the wood from drying out with Vulpes Supply House Board Oil No. 1.
Made with food-grade mineral oil, this deeply penetrating wood conditioner nourishes the material from within instead of leaving a heavy coating on the surface. Regular use helps reduce dryness, splitting, and premature wear while bringing out the natural grain and character of walnut, maple, cherry, and other hardwoods.
Built for handcrafted cutting boards, but useful anywhere unfinished food-contact wood needs routine maintenance.

Why Your Wood Needs Oil
Wood naturally loses moisture through repeated washing, drying, and everyday use. When neglected, it can become pale, rough, or vulnerable to cracking.
Board Oil No. 1 replenishes that lost moisture and helps the wood perform the way it should—because ownership is maintenance.
Benefits
- Deeply conditions dry wood
- Restores the richness of the natural grain
- Helps protect against drying, checking, and cracking
- Easy to apply and reapply
- Suitable for multiple wood species and grain constructions

How to Use
- Make sure the wood is clean and completely dry.
- Apply a generous, even coat to all sides, edges, and exposed end grain.
- Allow the oil to absorb for several hours or overnight.
- Wipe away any oil remaining on the surface with a clean cloth.
- Repeat when the wood begins to look dry or loses its depth of color.
New, unfinished, or severely dry wood may require multiple applications.
Complete the Treatment
For added surface protection and a smoother conditioned finish, follow with Vulpes Board Wax No. 1 after the oil has fully absorbed.
